All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate Kashim Shettima boasted on Thursday (September 15th) that the party standard bearer possesses a work ethic essential to steer Nigeria in the right direction.

Cable reports that Shettima at the 96th anniversary celebration of the Yoruba Tennis Club at Ikoyi in Lagos confirmed that Nigeria needs a shrewd presidential candidate who would be focused on driving progress across the country.

Shettima noted that Bola Tinubu is a candidate who has a dose of hospitality that the late military administrator, Sani Abacha and the commitment he claimed is presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to get things done.

He added that apart from these two attributes, Tinubu also possesses the kind of work ethic that former President Olusegun Obasanjo exhibited during his tenure.

His words:

“We are convinced that the overall political situation in Nigeria needs the skills of a detribalized and committed Nigerian like Tinubu to rekindle the required values ​​that can help us rededicate ourselves and all Nigerians to collectively address the challenges of national cohesion.

“In 2023, we need a Nigerian leader who has the humility and generosity of spirit of people like General Yakubu Gowon. We need a leader who has the selflessness and commitment of Muhammadu Buhari .

“We need a leader who has the work ethic and open-mindedness of an Olusegun Obasanjo.”

He further said that Nigeria needs a pragmatic leader who understands the country’s challenges like the former military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida.

He said:

“We need a leader who has the pragmatism of the situation and the understanding of Nigeria’s security, the Maradonic skill of Ibrahim Babangida.

“We need a leader with vision and a sense of responsibility and commitment, and someone who understands the nation’s national title of one Abdulsalami Abubakar, and in our systemic circumstances, we need a leader with a dose of the hospitality of a Sani Abacha.

“We need a leader with intellectual acumen, with the action to catapult this nation to the top pedestrian rank. We need a leader who is not bound by regional or religious sentiment.

“We need a leader who has set such records of excellence and commitment to good governance. No one, with all due respect, fits that better than Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A prominent pastor has urged Nigerians to vote for the ruling APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The leader of the Young Professionals of Nigeria (YPN), Pastor John Desmond felt that Tinubu has the right qualities of a true leader who can effect the desired change.

He, however, urged Nigerians to vote for the former Governor of Lagos State, noting that he has everything it takes to fix Nigeria by 2023.
