Pune Metro completes overpass works on route from Vanaz Metro Station to Civil Court Metro Station

PUNE (Metro Rail News): Maha Metro’s Pune Metro project works are in full swing. The Pune Metro completed a major landmark today, July 18. The viaduct works on the Reach 2 route of the Pune metro have been completed. The Pune Metro has a total length of 33.2 km and has 30 stations. It has 5 metro stations and 25 aerial stations. To expedite the project, Pune Metro has divided the routes into different parts such as – Reach 1 (Pimpri Chinchwad Metro Station to Civil Court Metro Station), Reach 2 (Vanaz Metro Station to Civil Court Metro Station ), Reach 3 (Ramwadi Station to Civil Court Station), Metro Line 1 (Swargate Station to Civil Court Station) and Metro Line 2 (Range Hill Station to Civil Court Station) Civil Court). Pune Metro has appointed various contractors to complete the works on time and as planned.

Pune Metro has completed the launching of all 2631 prestressed concrete box segments, 41 prestressed concrete I girders and one 48m steel girder span in Reach-2, making a total of 296 viaduct spans and 12 depot line spans of East -West Corridor of Pune Rail Metro Project from Vanaz to Civil Court which is a 7.505 km long metro viaduct including depot line at Vanaz. This year, on the said line, commercial operation from Vanaz tube station to Garware College tube station has already begun, and with the completion of the viaduct to the Civil Court tube station, it is prudent to say that Pune metro will be able to run the metro to the civil court metro station in a short time.

The elevated line from Vanaz station to Civil Court station will soon be completed and very soon the metro will run on this line. It will take some time to complete the works of Deccan Station, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Station, Pune Municipal Corporation Station and Civil Court Station on this route. The Pune Metro works are progressing at a rapid pace and the citizens of Pune are eagerly awaiting the completion of these works.

On this occasion, the managing director of Mahametro, Dr. Brijesh Dixit, congratulated all the managers and employees of the metro. On this occasion, he said that this work was made possible through the active support and cooperation of the central government, state government, Pune municipality and all other government institutions. In the next few months, the metro will begin service for passengers up to the Civil Court station.
