LYO, LSU Host Mass Social Work June 4 | MorungExpress
Kohima, June 1 (MExN): In line with the celebration of United Nations World Environment Day on June 5, Lhisemia Youth Organization (LYO) in collaboration with Lhisemia Students Union (LSU) is organizing mass social work in the jurisdiction of Lhisemia (Thinuo) on June 4.
Through this initiative, LYO and LSU aim to raise awareness among citizens about “our long-held dream of achieving a ‘waste-free zone’ in our region which we plan to institute as a model in rural and urban areas.”
All Organizations, Neighborhoods, Settlements, Terhiibas, Departments, Schools, Tatamobile/Taxi Parking that fall under its purview, have been requested to be actively involved in this cleanliness campaign “in order to achieve the goal of” Waste Free Zone “in our region. “
LYO President Mhasimhalie M. Yhome and LSU President Dziesekhrietuo Khruomo said that all stores under Lhisemia’s jurisdiction will remain closed from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to facilitate mass citizen participation in social work.
In the meantime, the LYO and LSU have advised all concerned to immediately remove any building materials/abandoned vehicles obstructing the road or nullas.
