Complete list of UK companies that only work four-day weeks

ONCE thought of a far-fetched idea, many UK companies are now switching to four-day weeks in an effort to increase efficiency and attract top talent.

Atom Bank hit the headlines last month when it switched to a permanent four-day week without cutting wages by a dime.

Yet far from being a hippie move by the fintech company, Atom Bank has joined a group of fast-growing UK companies that are one day cutting their weekly routine.

A spokesperson for the Durham firm told us: “At Atom, healthy, happy colleagues = healthy, happy customers.

“It’s business as usual. “

Meanwhile, Leeds financial firm BWD introduced the four-day no-cut week after a “remarkable” three-month trial earlier this year.

And London-based software developers IriusRisk switched to a three-day weekend earlier this month, with CEO Cristina Bentue telling Forbes the company received ten new resumes within 24 hours of the news.

With traditional work patterns disrupted by the pandemic and the so-called ‘big resignation’ now leading around a quarter of Britons to consider quitting their jobs, some believe a four-day work week makes more sense than ever.

Here is a full list of UK companies offering their workers four-day weeks, according to the 4-day workweek campaign.
